How do I get group summaries in Crystal subreports to display in the same appropriate group level in the main report? I.E. my new subreport I added is a seperate database I had to link my report to.Now I have two data sources on this one report. This new subreport, the data values are carved in stone forever and will never change....a "baseline" if you will. The link to this new data source was successful.I set up the grouping in the subreport identical to the grouping in the main report (even used the same formula name for highest-level grouping in the sub as formula to group on in the main.)Everything identical. But for each highest-level group in the main report (8 of these), my subreport is displaying in it's entirety (all 8 groups of it's own)which is not what I am trying to do. I want only the summary value in subreport group level "1" to display inside the same-named main report group level "1". Only.Nothing else. And then "2" inside of "2" and so on for all 8 groups. How do I "link" these group summaries together to accomplish this?Do I have to format "suppress" #2-#8 in the first occurence of these 8 groupings based on the grouping formula resultant or is there a more professional way? Thank you.

It sounds like you didn't link the subreport to the main report. In the main report->edit->subreport links->link each group to its counterpart in the subreport.

I find that entire "Insert Subreport" dialog box confusing. But I got lucky.Everything looks the way I want it now that I activated the "select data in subreport based on field" and then chose my grouping formula. All my other reports that contain subreports, the subreports are in the Report Footers not in a Group Footer. Thanks again for steering me in the right direction lbass.
