In reference to a closed thread (see above):

I manage a system (BC13/TSW) with hundreds of Dect handsets. I want to re-number all these handsets (4 to 5 digits). But I don't want to bother the end user more then necessary (not to have all the handsets collected).
When it is possible to get hold of the IPEI key it is possible to automate a large part of the procedure (renumbering, subscribing).

How to get hold of the ipei key????
Is there a way to reverse engineer the AUTPAR to get hold of the IPEI number of the handset?

Easy. Just press *#06# on the handset, and you get the IPEI number.

Reverse engineering, maybe..??
Try to send this MML command:
CXAKP:DIR=ALL,AUTDET=YES;

You will obtain an 48 digit code that contains the IPEI and extension number - scrambled.

I did get hold of the old ini file for CXAKI and manually corrected to the new entries.
Then deleted the 4 digit numbers with CXAKE and GEDIE, and reinstalled all by GEDII and CXAKI.
That worked !

Is there more to say about the AUTPAR 48 digit scrambled code.
Is there a way to unscramble it so the IPEI key is extracted?

Manually reveil the IPEI code for 1350 dect handsets is not practical. And there is no administration of IPEI code handset number relationship.

I used to ask (as you can see from the previous thread) Aastra for this:

Is there more to say about the AUTPAR 48 digit scrambled code?
Is there a way to unscramble it so the IPEI key is extracted?

But the AUTPAR is only for re-installing the DECT handsets with the SAME extension number - and of course SAME IPEI number.

So I would look for the old ini files (CXAKI:DIR=,IPEI=;)
This would save you some work.
Otherwise it is the hard work with *#06# on each handset.
User could report this info to a common e-mail address in your company. We tried this - and it worked.

Thanks Dokter,

Decided to collect 680 handsets en then have the renumbering done by an administrator.

With ini file is meant CXAKI.
MD110/Aastra TSW initiation files are normally made by a tool called PCRegen (PC regeneration). This tool is part of the SAM toolbox (Service assistant manager).
PCRegen can make initiation (CXAKI) fil from a print file (CXAKP).
