Trying to find out how frequently ICA gateways exchange information. Does it occur at the same time that Member Browsers update the Master ICA Browser? Is it specific Time Intervals? What happens if you remove an ICA Gateway, how soon before the server on one subnet removes the information pertaining to published applications on another subnet?

Please Help.

Tanks.

Worst case: the ICA browser will do a complete refresh in 1800 seconds (30 minutes). I wouldn't think any lingering info would be alive past that...

Hello All,

Just FYI, I contacted Citrix on this issue, and they confirmed that modifications made within Citrix environments immediately transverse over the ICA Gateway. However , if the Gateway is idle for 1800 seconds (30 minutes), the Master ICA Browser will force an update. In the event that an ICA Gateway is removed, it can take the Citrix Servers on either side of the gateway up to 48 hours before records of other subnet Citrix Servers are removed from its records.

Cheers,

Voyager1 thanks for the input.

*TIP*

This timeout (1800 seconds) for browser updates can be adjusted, if necessary, in Citrix Server Administrator, on the ICA Browser page.
