Hi,

I have Installed SAMBA on AIX 5.2 and it is working fine. I have Oracle Database on this AIX 5.2 server on different directory.
Now network Security people want to know how easy to hack SAMBA and to get control of Oracle Database ?

I have applied all necessary patches for Oracle and AIX 5.2. Also I have done server hardening for AIX 5.2. Not a single user can remotly login to AIX 5.2. Telnet, and FTP are also disable.

Thanks,

SAMBA does not provide shell services, only file and print services. If you haven't shared your oracle files, there is no risk to the database.
