I would like to change the mouse pointer as the user drags items on the treeview. But I have had no luck coding the CreateDragImage method. Does anyone have an example of how this works?

Thanks, but I had looked at this earlier. Instead of the ActiveX TreeView it using an api(?). And it's done in VB6, which I don't have.

I think that this is not exposed in the vba mscomctl version, but I may be wrong. It appears that the mscomctl treeview is a wrapper for the "real treeview" and it is slightly different. So I would think you would have to use the API. As you will notice there is not even a dragicon property of the treeview control in vba (mscomctl). I have not tried that code, but it it is API you should be able to use it. However, if you figure this out please post a solution, I am curious.
