Hello,

I'm having all sorts of problems with my citrix server and want to reinstall Citrix to see if it solves the problem. However, this server has a few customized applications that are installed AFTER I had installed citrix a year ago. If I were to uninstall Citrix, reboot and reinstall Citrix, will the installed apps continu to work ? I don't publish any apps, they are all published desktops.

Thanks

I wouldn't have thought so. I would imagine that when you unistal Citrix it will lose any imformation for your customized apps. I could be wrong though. Are you able to setup these custom apps again if the info is lost? If so I would do that.

Some of them maybe. The consulting group for our accounting software charges at least 250$ per call and it's not even a flat rate ! I want to try to avoid this. I might be able to put off the reinstallation of Citrix. Server didn't crash today (YET).

akwong,
If you are simply pushing out a published desktop uninstalling Citrix and reinstalling Citrix will not cause issues with your applications.

The most important thing to remember is that your server is already in applicaiton mode versus remote administration mode. Once you place the server in applicaiton mode and install applications on it...it knows that it is a multi-user environment.

Citrix is just another 32-bit app that runs on top of terminal server that enhances it's function.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the info enigma99.
