Hi Procomm Rep,

Is there a way in Procomm+ to read the status of the 9 COM RS-232 ports ?
Like ready, connected, etc. ?
I noticed that there are 9 reserved words starting with COM1, COM2, etc. but I cannot access them thru Aspect.

I want to write a module to dynamically select the next open serial port if any are in use.
So if COM1, COM2 are open and in use and COM3 is closed but active, then I would select COM3.
Also I would like to know which script is running which COM port currently under Procomm+.

Are you talking about direct connections on those com ports, I presume? I think really the only way to get the status would be to try to set Procomm's connection to the desired com port, and then check for success or failure to see if that connection switch worked or not.
