How does one make a GOOD chalk/blackboard effect? 1

How does one make a GOOD chalk/blackboard effect? Doing a search on the web profited me by one POOR method. Any ideas?

I use Metacreations Painter for any natural medium effects such as chalk, and it usually looks pretty cool. Don't know how much it is but version 1 came bundled with my graphics tablet. Nick Price
