I have a dev machine with Fedora 14 installed and running fine. But, the application I need to test and config refuses to work with PHP 5.3. I've used YUM to erase PHP but I've not come up with a way to install the 5.2 version.

Can any seasoned sysadmins suggest a method to accomplish this?

Thanks [ponder]

You'll probably have to uninstall the RPM, download the source tarball of the appropriate version from PHP.net, and compile and install from source.

But to be honest, I'm surprised a version of PHP that will run under PHP 5.2 will not run under PHP 5.3. Could it be a configuration problem?

Anyway, there is a PHP forum in Tek-Tips ( The nice folk there will be a lot of help with this.
