How does micolla b send email?

Hi all.
I am not sure of how micollab send email to users for voicemail notification.
I have micollab sending emails but when I check the E-mail settings ther are deafault.
That is:-
Server to use for outbound SMTP = (delivered direct via DNS lookup)
SMTP email injection restrictions = Accept from anywhere
Forwarding address for administrative email = admin@customer.com
E-mail sent for events: critical, major

I need to understand how it is sending emails. Which email address is being used to send.

If no email server is defined, the system uses DNS (MX Lookup) to determine where to send the email.

This method is very unreliable and insecure

you can tail the qmail log file to see whats happening
tail -f /var/log/qmail/current

the tail cmd just shows a blank screen

did you leave a voicemail message that would involve the sending of the emaill whilst watching it?

Yes I did leave a voicemail to watch the email being send
