How does Flash recognize alt tags?

I'm stuck. What's the simplest way to use alt tags for loading external images in flash? Basically, all I want to do is load an external image dynamically into a movie clip and be able to repeat this process using... instances? (is that right?) I'm assuming there's a way to do this using alt tags. And if so, would the alt tags need to be predefined?

I'm not really a programmer, so go easy on me...
