CR 10
SQL Server 2005

I'm curious how CR determines indexes and precidence? I have a table that has one index in SQL Server. When I go in to link it to another table it lists 8 indexes, color coded for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and so on. Is CR just using onboard logic to determine these? Can the indexes CR determines be trusted like SQL Server indexes?

thanks,
Michael

Funny... I have never beenable to find the answer to your question., but i can tell you that i never trust CR to index or link anything. I typically clear all the links, and link everything as i need. I'm sure that CR is using canned logic to determine linking and indexes. Our Production DB is a Progress DB and we srite the data to SQL datawarehouse. The CR created linking never looks logical.

Don't worry, your not alone on this.

You know that thought does go through my mind when I post. I always wonder if it's something simple I'm overlooking.
As far as the manual linking I always do that also. I don't know if CRXI has gotten better about linking or not; one would hope.
