Hi! My database uses raw devices for dbspaces. How do you view and reconfigure these raw devices using divvy? When I run divvy, it just gives me the basic filesystems that I see when I run dfspace.

By the way, when you run dfspace, how come you only see a few filesystems? Or are they really the only ones?

Another thing, I've never used floppy disks in SCO before but now I need to retrieve some files which I got from Windows 98 and copy them into SCO. How do you access the floppy disk/drive?

Thanks!

You see the filesystems. And those are all there are.

Any advice I give is my best judgement based on my interpretation of the facts you supply.

Help increase my knowledge by providing some feedback, good or bad, on any advice I have given.

dfspace will show you only those filesystems that are mounted.
divvy will show you only the divisions on the device that you specify on the command line. if you don't specify a device then it defaults to the /dev/hd0a. It should show you the raw divisions but i don't know what type it would call them.

have fun
