I would like to get the maximum performance out of 3 LTO tape drives. I have been told that the device sessions should stay low (between 2 & 4) to increase streaming to the drives and avoid searching, moving backwards and forward before a write or read. Is there any other way other than increasing Network throuput, maximum clients backed up at one time and using the valid IBM tape drivers to incease write spead on the drives?
