Thanks to all who responded to my previous post(mgagnon, jimstarr, foxdevil, et al). The cursor is open & selected. The fieldname does not include the tablename(tablename.fieldname) in the report. I have deleted the data environment of the report since the cursor is created at runtime. The cursor is not empty either. The Open Table dialog box still appears once the report form command is encountered. I might be missing something basic here. I'll keep on looking. Any ideas, anyone can throw, is very much welcome. Thanks a lot!

I didn't see the beginnig of this thread, so I may be
stabbing in the dark, but the first things that come to
mind are:
[tt]
1- You still have a reference to a table
(maybe in the reports variables initialization section
or the reports header or footer)
2- The table is truly not selected
3- You've generated the table from a form that has a
private data session and somehow it's getting changed
when the report is run.
[/tt]

As I said, I didn't see the other thread, so excuse me if
I'm off base.
