HOW DO YOU SET UP A TELCO FEATURE LIKE STAR 82 WITH A DESTINATION CODE OF 9 ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED

Have a customer that has all call blocking from telco and would like to be able to turn that feature off by dailing star 82 per call. Some numbers are set up not to except caller id blocking phone calls. Tried setting up a speed dail and it does not work. The speed dail will work on a mics 4.0 without routing set up but a mics 4.0 with routing will not work. ????

What you will have to do is to set up another destination code... say 6. Then point it to a route 001, with a dial out of * 82.

Services - Show
Ringing Service - Next
Restriction Service - Next
Routing service - SHow
Route - Show
Show route: 001 - Show
Dial out: No number - Press change and add *82
Then Next. Use: Pool A. If this is correct leave it alone.

Then back out to all the way to Routes then Next to Dest Codes. - Show
Show code: enter 7 or some other code than what you use for normal dialing. IE., not 9.
Code: 7 - Show.
Normal: 000 - Change to the route we built 001.

That should be about it. Now when your customer reaches one of the No caller ID, no call sites, then they can hang up and dial 7 then the number and it should automatically outpulse the *82. MRoberts

I am sorry m roberts I take that back [atleast some of that ] I tested it on line pool b in my office and it worked i can not get it to work on pri lines for some reason. so in the mean time I set it up for the customer on a couple of lines I put in pool a and it works that way but... I would like to figure out how to make it work on pri lines. Thanks

As far as I know Telco does not allow caller ID blocking on PRI/T1 using a code. You can pay for that service on the circuit.

Good Luck!!
