In Outlook 2003, I created a distribution list called 'Newsletter'.

I updated the file but, when I tried to save it, the disk space was very low and it is now no longer listed in 'Contacts'

However, a Google desktop search has found the file 'cached Saturday, November 08, 2008'. I can view the file and have tried clicking 'Save and Close' but it still has not reappeared in Outlook Contacts.

What do I need to do to get this file back to the correct place

What file are you referring to? If you're using a personal folder file, you'd be looking for a .pst file.

But you're not giving us enough info. A distribution list isn't a file. It's merely an entry in a database file. You can't restore just the DL.
