I have a Nortel FastRAD that I bought on eBay recently. I'm trying to use the thing with a direct connection. It prompted me twice for a password and then locked me out. I've tried unplugging it, but it won't respond at all. Can anyone help me with this?

Thanks in advance,
Gerry

Or if you'd prefer not to change the system date and then change it back, follow the directions in the previous post except hit left button 5 times, center button 7 times and the right button 8 times. Brian Cox

Exsmogger,

What does that change the password to? the existing date(112502)? or back to completly without password? JerryReeve

Jerry,

According to the info I have the FastRAD is initialized, so it is like new out of the box. All parameters should be back to factory defaults. Brian Cox

yeah it removes the password altogether, so there will be no password once you've completed the debugger

You can also open the casing of the Rad and short the capacitor in order to discharge it, this is where the password is located.

I just love technology. But some little things never even make it to the news journals.... like storing data in a capacitor...

Just kidding.

Merry Christmas and keep the good work in this forum !!!
