I was making changes to an application, cleaning out some old stuff, I can't say exactly what happened...but when I went to do a compact and repair, I received "file already in use" message. I can't even delete it and bring the back up version back.
How can I delete the file and restore the backup. Do I need admin rights or something to that degree

Hi

Look in same folder as your .mdb file, do you have a .ldb file with same name ? if yes try deleting it

If still you have no joy, check you have read/write/create/delete (network) priveledges in the folder where the .mdb file resides
