How do you open your .config files?

I use Window98 and it won't open, instead it pops "Open with..." but I don't want to mess it up by opening it with a wrong program...how can you open it? Thanks in advance~! -^^- ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

i'm sorry now i see you wanna open your config files.. well i just open them with WordPad, no problem.. more often i open them in MS-DOS with an plain-ascii editor. good luck.
