The box...If I wanted to completely blow away the memory and start from default how do i do so? I don't meant through software but is there an actual physical reset?

Look at the IP Office job-aid DTE Port Maintenance
If you don't have that you can download it through the business partner site.

Or, if you are lazy, like me:

1. Plug your laptop into the DTE port via serial cable.
2. Set up a hyper-terminal session with the following parameters: 38400,8,none,1
3. Pull power adapter out of back of IP Office.
4. While laptop is connected and Hyper-Terminal session is up, plug in power on IP Office and hit escape key on laptop.
5. At the prompt on the screen type the following commands:
1. 'AT-X2' - this erases current config in memory
2. 'AT-X3' - this erases config on flash
6. Cycle power to IP Office and viola, you are back to factory default.

Be aware that when you do this, you wipe out any software upgrades and sets you back to v1.1

Please make sure the unit is not on DHCP, other wise it may fail. When it does, you WILL have a dead unit! :(

'AT-X3' - this erases config on flash
Additionally you can use 'AT-X' it will "destroy" also software/bios on IPO. When you did it you have to be sure that your WORKING DIRECTORY in Manager has correct *.bin file (f.e. for 403->403.bin in any kind of version). If run that string to clear IPO run also MAnager and turn on TFTPLog from menu. In that window you will see IP adress of cleared IPO.

If your IPO is in DHCP and you've used AT-X3 you MUST do also AT-X for completelly CLEAR your IPO.

BTW. AT-X is also the way to upgrade. You can replace old *.bin file for newest and go....(tested on IPO403)
