I can tell you how do to it in IE and send you somewhere for netscape compatibility... there is a method of the window object called setInterval:
intname = window.setInterval("someFunc()", secstowait)
every secstowait milliseconds someFunc() is called inside this function you can change the visibility attibute of the text (put it inside a container)... jared@aauser.com
