How do you make good search feature? 1

Hello, let me start off by saying I'm a hardcore DESIGNER, not developer I know HTML, but no JAVA or any other languages.

I want to know how to make a search feature (where someone inputs keywords into a field, and your site gives results about which pages deal with those keywords). I have no idea how to write such a script (I imagine it's done in CGI?). I'm looking to make a search like IGN.com's, where it not only gives you results, but a slidebar telling you how relevant each page is to the inputted keywords..

...lastly, I want to know how to do this for my Dreamweaver site.

Please let me know how I can get this done, or if such a code can be downloaded anywhere!

if you goto the dreamweaver site

http://www.macromedia.com/downloads/

click the extensions and look for Atomz Search.

This will help you put a search facility on your site using dreamweaver

(SiteMiner Wizard is another one on there)
