I know that I can save any illustrator document as a pdf. However, this pdf can only be a single page PDF file.

Is it possible to take multiple ai files and compile them as ONE pdf document with multiple pages??

You would have to PDF each Illustrator file, then assembly each PDF document together into ONE PDF file using Adobe Acrobat. That's the only way I know...I've done it that way. Hope this helps.

There is another way to make multiple pages in Illustrator. sells a plug-in for Adobe Illustrator which adds multiple page support. You can also export multiple page pdfs. Cost is about $49.00. You can download a demo from their site...a few notes, however...

1. Download the demo first. Take a look at how they accomplish multiple pages. It's actually just a script for adding and toggling between different layered files. You could easily accomplish this yourself, manually. The plug-in just makes the process easier.

2. The pdf files exported out of multipage tend to be very large. The best way to make small pdf's is to print to postscript, and distill in Acrobat. That's the best way to control pdf size.

I hope I have helped.
