Hello,
I'm working on a project to integrate Nice Perform to a Nortel Symposium.

What is required from a overview stand point for this to work? Thank you.

it works,

Nortel is one of the standard integrations for perform.

alot will depend on whether you are lineside recording or extn side really.

but basically there is a interactions server that listens to the clan feed from the symposium, a database that contains all the extns/positions/line information. The phones get configured with AST and IAPG and perform takes that info

How much of perform do you know?

It's not getting any smarter out there. You have to come to terms with stupidity, and make it work for you.

Thx for the reply. I'm not very familiar with Nortel and Nice, but I did work with Avaya and Nice recording (trunk side). So I know my way around with the loggers, CLS and CTI a bit.

What needs to be configure on the Nortel and Nice? In a nut shell that is..

in a nutshell......

1) configure/define your channel maps
2) configure/define your sources - extns/position/trunk/IP
3) define them as either static or dynamic mappings
4) define your Drivers/CTI Interfaces/connection mamager details under the cti integrations - this holds the IP information of your Symposium server - you will have to create a user on symposium with blue database access

on your meridian you'll have to add AST and IAPG for each phone you want to monitor so a ordinary phone usually has the dn on key 0 so AST needs to be set to 0 if it's a agent phone then AST would be set to 0 and 3 (key o = acd key 3 = dn or wherever you have your dn) iapg is set to 1.

there is loads more but that's kind of the meridian side of nice

It's not getting any smarter out there. You have to come to terms with stupidity, and make it work for you.
