How do you know you're ready for the A+ Test? I'm asking this because it seems I'll never know every detail in the 900 page A+ cert book I'm studying. I would like to know the most difficult types of questions they ask.

Thanks,
Harold

Hit the Internet and take every free practice test you can find. Any test questions in the 900 page book you are studying? These practice tests should give you a pretty good idea of your preparedness.

A+,N+,S+,L+,I+,HTI+,e-Biz+,CETsr,CST,CNST,CNCT,CFOT,CCNT,CCTT,ACSP,ISA CCST3

ietprofessional,

I used the A+ All-In-One, which is more like a 1500 page book, but it came with practice tests. I took them over & over until I could score 90%+ every time. Then I scheduled the tests.

The questions in the book are pretty far off from the actual questions, but the concepts are the same. If your book is slightly out-of-date, look for questions about newer technology like fiber-optic and wireless networks.

Good Luck!

You'll be ready if when you take the practice exams or looking at other questions, and you do not know the answer off the top of your head, you are able to reason through it by bringing your knowledge into play? I hope this post is clear enough. I ramble sometimes.

i did my A+ back in 2000. it was pretty straight forward and the questions are well designed and proper terms were used in them. i remembered all the irq's and dma pretty well and some well known port addresses ie. parallel port

if you have been a computer hardware fan then u're pretty much 50% passed. i would suggest after u've read the study guide throughly and just go thru those you have a little doubt on and you should be fine.

good luck
