Is there a way to have Access 2007 keep the sort of the data elements in the data window. Everytime I load the DB I have to resort my queries (and I have a ton of 'em).
Is there a way to have it saved like the 2003 version.

You can use the SORT row on the query design grid and save the query.

Thanks for getting back to me. I guess I wasn't clear.
I was trying to describe the control where all the objects ie. (tables, queries, forms, reports, macros, modules) are stored. I have many many queries in my db and each time I load/re load the database I have to resort the query list.
Its not a forms driven app, its for adhoc management reports via ODBC to a DB2 back-end.

I was hoping that there is a setting somewhere that will keep the list of queries sorted by last date/time.
2003 worked that way.

You can select the "Details" view in the database window, and sort on any of the headers.

The sort order should then remain as you set it in any view you choose (e.g. "List")

Hope this helps.

Nope, it does not keep the sort you choose. It always reverts back to the default.

Can't you right-click on the database window and "Arrange By"? I am on 2003 but I guess 2007 should have the simplest of standard windows functions <grin>.
