Regarding pass-thru queries and back end mainframe databases....how do you all handle passwords. Do you use a generic? If not how do you handle when you have to change them? Do you go back in and change the pwd for all the pass thrus and if you have a split db, you have to put the new version on all the desktops....

I always set up my SQL Server logins to have passwords that don't change.
