How do you go about creating a custom control, or just point me source 2

Hi,
I plan on writing a custom control for my listbox, see FAQ #9 a, and b. Of course it will be more customizable. I know that there are hundreds out there, but I can't find any that are free, I want to make a free one so poor people like me can use it, lol. I've never made a custom control before, but if someone could give me some pointers, or point me in the direction of a website , or give me a title fo a book that they fould really helpful , I would be much appreciative.

MSDN is a good source and if you are using Visual Basic 6 then the Wizard is very useful.
