How Do You Get Tapes Identified

We are using arcserve 2000 demo. I have a DLT891 and have put barcode labels on all tapes. The tapes are shown as Dismounted and when I try to inventory it says device 7 to tape found. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Did you ever get any answer to this? I am having the SAME problem....

I have ARCserve 2000 + SP(now SP4) and DLT 891 with barcode labels and it works fine. Did you insert barcode labels right way? In manual page H-10 (with write-protect switch on right side)? Did you check option "Bar code reader installed" in ARCserve Device Configuration / Tape and Optical Library / .. / Properties ?
