I have an 8 channel fiber NAM I that has been

The NAM is connected to a MICS with R3.0XC software. I can
access the unit with feature 915 but no other feature seems
to be working. What I want to know is how to find the
software version of the NAM if a software upgrade has
been done on the unit.

do a Feature 9*1. This will give you the active feature codes being used. If this says inactive, try the F**xftestm test the feature codes. If you do not see F980-989, and the only item you see active is F915, then you most likely have a stand alone NAM. This has no voicemail application on it at all.

I have some good news and some bad news. First the bad news. It sounds like your NAM has indeed been upgraded, probably to at least 4.0 and probably 4.1 AND guess what!
Your 3.0 MICS will now no longer talk to it, ever.
The only solution that I am aware of is to upgrade your MICS to 4.0 or better ( I would go with 6.1 ) these days and like magic, your NAM and all of its feature codes will reappear! Thats the good news!

The problem lies somewhere else. A R4.1 NAM will work with any release MICS or CICS. My guess would be corrupted files on the NAM, or it is programmed for ACD only.

Thanks to everyone for thier input.
Turns out the unit is an ACD. Sorry if I wasted anybody's
time. This is the first post I've put on this site and
what I've learned from this alone is amazing. I'm new to all
of this telecom stuff so you'll probably be fielding alot
of my questions. I'll try to keep them intelligent.
