How do you fade audio file in timeline??

You'll want to animate AUDIO LEVELS.
Like any layer in the timeline, twirl down the parameter arrow, and find the AUDIO LEVELS.
dB: Decibel level can be considered the offset of the audio volume.
+0 = same volume out as it was coming in.
-x = turn it down
+x = turn it up!
