I am developing an app for someone that will replace an EXCEL sheet. When printed, the sheet fills a landscape legal sheet and is formatted. What I would like to do is click a button and export my datafields into an excel but have it formatted like her sheet is currently. How would I go about this....

Perhaps someone else would know better than I, but to my knowledge, when transferring data to excel, you lose all formatting. There isn't a way to pre-format your data to match what is setup in excel.

Easiest to pull the data from Excel using Data > Import External Data...

Your sheet format will remain in tact.

You can configure the query table Data > Import External Data > Data Range Properties to refersh the query on open if desired.

A work-around may suit. You can:

* Format an exported sheet with automation
* Add data to a formated sheet with automation
* Attach the data to the Excel sheet with a query.
