Does anybody have any idea how this is put together...?

When you click on a link the text on the left appears after you click on another link the text disappears.

Im trying to do the same effect.

The text on the left or the right?

old, i think he means the text on the right. anyways, I see a lot of slidings here (at least 2, one on the left and another on top) and the transition effect you see on the right is probably a movie clip with a "effect" right in between each interface. Nicely done I have to say.

there are a couple of downloadable flas that demonstrate the sliding effects, including the one that seemed to have gone past its targeted location and went to right itself. Im sure old will give you the URL for this, i can't coz my connection doesn't want to do searches today (very slow connection in the philippines).

IMHO, the text on the right is but a masking transition. Not a masking layer, just a motioned white masking animation, that covers the first text and uncovers the next one.
I don't think he was referring to the sliding menus or pictures.

Im refering to the text on the left.

So, just use a movie mask for that wave effect?

To make the "wave", do i use shape tween or is there a simple way of creating it.

Thanks!

So those menu items titles on the right then!

Look at it this way... It's roughly & basically the same as this barney's like sliding menu, except that it is vertical instead of horizontal, and that the boxes on the barney's menu would be replaced by titles in your example...

Sorry, I ment the menu items titles on the left then!

LOL:~/

I meant the right. Im getting all confused.

The Barney Menu also helps, I would of asked about it sooner or later.

Thanks,

Don't think you could shape tween a mask layer in that manner, but you maybe could insert a shape tween in a movie clip, and then use that movie clip as a mask. Or you could animate (frame by frame) the mask shape on the mask layer, which is what I believed was used on your link.
