I don't understand why something that should be so simple is not. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to display a jpeg image in an access database on an ASP. I know that people must be doing it, but how? They are actually stored as OLE objects in the database.

wheneve I have to do something similar, I use a reference to the path of the image... and store the images somewhere on the server jared@aauser.com

I think you need to use the getchunk method. I'll agree with jared though, it's much easier to store the image as a file and just reference the file name in the database.

so how can you get the user to upload the image file and how do you deal with that file on the server.

Im trying to do the same thing, did you ever solve the problem? I have ole images stored in an access database that I need to display on asp pages. I finally managed to display images from my oracle database and thought the access database would be a piece of cake after that, but the same technique doesnt appear to work on the access databases.

yes that technique worked great for oracle tables, but my access database images wont display. I get some kind of data type error, but the images are there, they display in access, just not in ASP.
