How do you delete a deposit that will not post?

Help please! We have imported a deposit into Cash Receipts Entry. The deposit won't post because it has a date from 1985. When I attempt to open the deposit in the Cash Receipts entry screen I receive an error "Cannot post to a prior period." How can I delete the deposit or change the date when the system won't let me open the deposit for modifications.

Hi.

You imported to a data entry table?

Under library master, repair, you can reinitialize the data entry table, or you can edit the table directly with file display, to delete the record.

Be careful using either of these.
