What are the choices when creating a web ring? <br>

I've seen some that are managed by a master site, or is it just a case of me putting a link to site x, then site x having a link to site y and so on?
I would <font color=red>not</font> suggest trying to maintain your webring yourself because that means maintaining the database of all the members yourself. I would suggest doing a search for a site that will maintain just such a database for you.
