I have been trying to start and stop an NT service from within a web page. I found some code from keytech in the form of KeyTech Windows Service Manager ActiveX control 1.0. This allow you to start and stop services but the documentation says that getting the status of a service should be possible. It doesn't work. Is there any other scripts out there which allow this functionality? I'm not against paying for them if they work, by the way...

guess you need to code more inside the activex control
so you won't get an answer in the jscript forum
i don't know if there is a an activeX one, maybe you could try the web site designer one, or the vc++ (or whatever language your activeX is done in) forum

I have kind of given up on fixing this active x component. I was wondering if there was another javascript component which I could slot intot provide similar funtionality....

maybe someone else knows how to interface activeX and javascript, but i personnaly don't know how to (haven't even managed to !!) and i find it easier to modifiy the activeX source code :-(
