How do you clear up CPU threads on AIX

Good Day. IS there a command to clear up CPU threads on an AIX box or does the system have to be rebooted. The box is a 9117-570 and is running AIX v.5.3

I am getting cpu starvation errors when i try to start my websphere application. and every time i stop/restart it takes longer and longer. the other day I rebooted. and that cleared up the problem, but now its starting again.

Hmm, I don't think they are CPU errors, probally messaging queue errors. Checkout your man ipcs and man ipcrm
