I have a HP C1533A it is not an autoloader.
Does any one know how to run a clean job on this drive. If it not in the backup software then how?

Thanks,

tiash

The cleaning option in Backup Exec is only for Autoloader where you can specify a cleaning slot.
If you want to clean the drive, then you should get a cleaning tape and enter this into the machine about 3 or 4 times.

I thought as much but isn't the clean light come on in this procedure. Only the tape light blinks. I'm unable to find any info pertaining to this on the HP site.

No, that should do. The cleaning tape should be ejected not long after you inserted it by the drive. If you repeat this a few times, then your drive is clean.
I got a HP C1533A and it's the same game.
