Hi,

We have managed to forget this password, Doh!

How do you change this in epo? Because the policy is preventing us from getting into the Client side on machines deployed by epo.

I have had a look aroung and cannot find anything that is relevent to this.

Please help

Regards

If you look under Policies tab, expand the VirusScan section and click on the User Interface Policies. There is a tab that says Password Options. You can change it there.

We want to change the password for our ePO sever 3.0.1 and workstations VirusScan 8.0.

How would I go about this?

Do I need to make a new admin account with the new password?

Do I then use the method you described for changing the password on all client workstations via Policies?

I'm being a bit timid because I don't want to lock myself out. I did that to my car once and had to break a window to get in. I guess I would have to break the monitor in order to get into the ePO :)

Thanks for any assistance,

David E. Tracy.

Well if you are able to log into ePo then you can change the admin password by going to the users tab on the main page. You shouldn't have to create a new admin acct. As for the workstations with VS 8.0, the method in the 2nd post should be followed. That will set the password needed to change VS settings on clients.
