I found the setting for OE, but how do you change the New Mail Notification sound effect for Outlook Express XP in Win XP?
Sincerely,
SC

-Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
-Click Sounds, Speech, and Audio Devices.
-Under Pick a task, click Change the sound scheme.
-On the Sounds tab, under Program events, click the event to which you want to apply a sound.
-In the Sounds list, click the sound you want to link to the event.
-To hear the sound, click the playbutton to the right of the Sounds list. If you are satisfied with your choice, click OK.
-Repeat steps 4 and 5 until you have linked sounds to as many program events as you want.
-To save your settings into a personalized sound scheme, click Save As.
-Type a name for the sound scheme, and then click OK.
-Click OK to complete the procedure and save your sound scheme.

I am able to get that to function, but it loses it when the user logs off or restarts...could be a roaming profiles issue on the Windows 2000 server, but all other settings stick. Any additional thoughts?
Sincerely,
SC

You may have a case where the Exchange server (or whatever email server you use) is reseting the sound as part of the connection process. If that is the case, I think you are stuck with the chimes.
