Okay, I almost feel dumb asking this, but I can't figure it out.
Here is the quick and dirty scenario....we did a restore test of a file server here with redirection. Once completed, we rebooted the test box and tried to bring it up as though it were the actual production server. It ends up blue screening with regularity once you login to Windows so we took it down and brought production back up.
Now the problem is that we were just going to see if we could correct the blue screen problem on the test box (we think it's a simple driver issue). However, if I boot it up on the network it holds the same Computer Name as the production server. I can't keep Windows from not blue screening long enough to be able to change the Computer Name the usual way and I just found out that you can't change the Computer Name while in Safe Mode.
Are there any other options?
