I have a CUCM 8.5. I have a department that has 40 phones already built. For reasons I wont' get into they needs all their extensions changed from 162xx to 165xx. Is there a way to do this without deleting all the existing phones and rebuilding a BAT file from scratch? I am thinking this could be done through the Bulk Administration/Update Lines possibly??? Is there a way to globally change everything that begins with 162xx to 165xx?

Thanks

Be thankful it's only 40 numbers.

If it's a new rollout, I'd hope that someone saved the original BAT files so I could simply edit them and re-run them.

Even so, changing the DN's is a very simple process that with only 40 extensions can be done manually in less time than it takes to write a BAT file to do it. Just go into the Call Routing tab/Directory Number and start changing them. With only 40 to do you could be done in 15 minutes.

Unfortunately this does not address the much larger issue of the individual (as well as shared) line appearances. A BAT file can do this, but here again with only 40....

With as much time as has already been spent researching how to make it easy, you could have had it done. Total job 2-hours tops, I swear.
