We have a client that has a branch office in a different city. The branch is using a MAGIX. They do not have consoles. They have analog trunks only. At times, they need to transfer calls to their main branch which they have been doing using trunk to trunk transfer and that works. Calls are transferred to a call center and they hear a recorded message if no agents are available. Until now, they have been doing cold transfers and telling the callers to obey the prompts if they don't get a live agent. They want to do warm transfers going forward. If the call goes to the recording, they want to be able to cancel the transfer and go back to the original calling party. Since the call center recording is playing, it is a completed call and they can't just drop the transfer by pressing the drop button. Any ideas?

I wish I had a test bed but that has been dismantled and dispersed.

The transfer shouldn't complete until either they hang-up or they press transfer a second time. So, if they press transfer and the number for the call center they can just stay on the line. If the recording picks up, they can press the original line and grab the caller back. If the recording doesn't pick up and an agent answers then they can say "here you go" and press transfer again to complete the transfer.

Sounds right to me. It's always the obvious answers we overlook. The customer is trying it now. Thanks for your quick response.
