Hi,

I just preparing to upgrade our ePO 3.5 server to 3.6.1 but the guide says to backup the database before upgrading it and I can't find the method in the product guide. Does anyone know how to dump the contents of an ePO database in MSDE (v8, I think).

Steve.

MSDE is basically crippleware SQL 7.0 or 2000--same capabilities, limited number of simultaneous DB connections and limited (2gB) DB size. You can run a backup from command line, but it's MUCH easier to load up an MS-SQL client, open SQL Enterprise Manager console, and run a backup from there. If you're REALLY unlucky, you can run a DB restore from the console, also.....--The Bug Guy

Nick,

thanks - exactly what I needed.
