are you trying to dial out to a new area code?
if so, you would define it in your ARS analysis,,,
do a disp ars ana X, where X is the first digit of a area code in the same region, so you can see how it is defined and what route pattern it is using, and then you can add an entry like it..
(like if I was adding 617, I might look at 508, both MASS. area codes and LD for me...)
