We are using Crystal Enterprise 8 that shipped with Crystal 8.5 and RAS 9 that shipped with CR9. We can access CR8 report over the intranet with the following location:
When we try to load a CR9 report using this method, we recieve the message:
Unable to load report. [On Page Server: servername.pageserver]
On a tip, I renamed the CR8 versions of crpe32.dep, crpe32.dll and crpe32.pdb in the winnt\system32 directory and replace them with CR9 versions. This fixed the error message, but I am no longer able to log in to any datasource for CR8 and CR9 reports. I replaced the three files with the CR8 versions.
Under these circumstances, is it possible to access a CR9 report using the above method? If not, how can you pass the user and password to a report using the interactive viewer? Password security is not an issue, I just don't want the user to type it in.
Also, are we entitled to a license of CR9 Enterprise as we were with CR8 Enterprise?
