I’ve recently changed jobs and I had used crystal with oracle at my old job it was already installed and set up when I started. I have asked the IT department at my new job if crystal could be used with Meditech before I buy a license and they said it’s up to me to find out.

I’ve seen a few different posts that people are using it with Meditech but are they using it with the Meditech data repository or can you connect right into Meditech MAGIC platform?

Any other advice or tips on this topic would be greatly appreciated. If I can get something to go back to the IT department with on how to install crystal and get it working with meditech then that would be great.

Thanks

Can you setup an ODBC connection to Meditech? You will need a data access driver for it, perhaps the support people at Metitech could help you get the driver.

Hi,

We're currently a Meditech Magic 4.9 site and have been using Iportal for some time. The product works quite well but is definitely not supported by Meditech at all. The support from InterfacePeople, however, is excellent. I've been using Crystal Reports and Analysis for years in the Finance and Insurance sector. I'm really happy that I can use these tools with Meditech. We're running Analysis Cubes for both Financial and Clinical data, as well as ad-hoc reports for all different areas.

An Excellent product. For more information contact Gary@interfacepeople.com (mention that Colin from Credit Valley recommended them)
