We would like to turn off the send calling extension number for some extensions. Can this be done?

Kind Regards,

you want to block or not send the callers name and number internally? or externally? or both?

Thanks, pndscm
I tried creating the TP but because the number already exists as a telephone extension it won't allow me to use the same digits.

I'm trying to block caller name and extension for internal calls.

Sorry, I didn't read all the way throught he thread I gave you. Try this.

Create a TP with XXXX as the pattern. Put it in a Partition only reachable by the phones from which you want to block CallerID. Inside the TP make the Calling party CallerID presentation as Restricted. For the CSS of the TP, put in a CSS that can reach the other phones.

Forgot to mention, the CSS for the phones that want to block CallerID must NOT contain the PT of the phones that it wants to call. For example, normal phones CSS would have something like, Phone-PT, VMail-PT, Local-PT, LD-PT, Internatl-PT and the phones that block internal CallerID CSS would be like CLIDBLOCK-PT, VMail-PT, Local-PT, LD-PT, Internatl-PT. The CSS of the TP would be the same as a normal phone. In this way the ONLY way for the CLID-Blocked phone to call the other phones is through the TP.

pndscm - I hven't had a chance to try this out yet. I'll let you know how it works out as soon as I do, thanks.
